The Social Investment Consultancy - Equity in Grantmaking: The what and the how
17 May | 10:00-11:00
The session will include a panel discussion on equity in grantmaking with representatives from London Funders, The 2027 Programme, Lloyds Bank Foundation and others.
The funding community has worked to centre equity in grantmaking over the past year, prompted by inequalities laid bare by covid-19 and the Black Lives Matter movement. There's a wealth of learning from funders who have tried to embark on this journey in the past few years, and this session aims to share the evidence base around what's working to embed equity in grantmaking and how.
The session will include a panel discussion with representatives from London Funders, The 2027 Programme, Lloyds Bank Foundation and others who have worked on this area. TSIC has also evaluated a several equity-focused programmes, which we’ll also present to prompt discussion. At the session, the London funding community will have the opportunity to learn practical 'dos and don'ts' and are equipped with the knowledge to embed equity into grantmaking.
