For the past year, Collaboration Circle has been working to develop a practical library of tools to support funders to embed equity at every stage of their grantmaking practice, from outreach and application to decision-making, grant management, learning, and closure. This is a combination of academic research that exists both in the UK and beyond, and practical knowledge from experienced grantmakers and equity-focused practitioners that has helped us to review and shape the foundations for this work. Now, we’re ready to share these resources and explore how they can be used in the day-to-day context funders operate in.
In this session, we’ll present these new resources and invite participants to engage directly with them. Together, we’ll explore how they might be used in different grantmaking settings, what support or conditions are needed to put them into practice, and where there may still be gaps.
Through small group discussions and shared reflection, we’ll create space for honest feedback: what feels useful, what feels challenging, and what might be missing from the current offer. Your insights will help shape the next phase of this work and ensure the tools are grounded in the realities funders are navigating.
This session is for anyone involved in funding design and delivery, who is interested in practical ways to advance equitable funding practice and who is keen to learn with and from others.
