Who funds equity & justice infrastructure in the UK? How has that landscape shifted? What gaps and opportunities lie ahead—and how can we build a stronger ecosystem for equity & justice organisations and movements to thrive?
In 2024, London Funders launched the Equity Infrastructure Mapping project to explore how specialist infrastructure organisations support equity & justice work. Since sharing our emerging findings in January 2025, we've expanded our work to analyse UK-wide data, engage stakeholders nationally, and examine global funding approaches in this area. In this interactive session, Research & Evidence Manager Shreya Gautam shared the key findings and including how funding for equity infrastructure has evolved.
We were also joined by Patricia Hamzahee (Black Funding Network), Swati Pujari (Pathway Fund), and Katy Jowett (The National Lottery Community Fund), who shared what they have learnt from investing in equity and justice infrastructure.
