Community wealth building 101: how can we develop a fairer economy for London?

How can funders – both private and public – help build wealth in the communities and places they support?

This session, delivered by the Democracy Collaborative, will explore the opportunities for community wealth building to develop a fairer and more democratic local economy for London. 

Facilitated by Matthew Brown - Senior Fellow for the Democracy Collaborative and Leader of Preston Council, who have pioneered community wealth building approaches  - the session will showcase practical ways funders can adopt community wealth methods, including through public procurement and 'anchor networks'. 

Join this session to get a better understanding of how community wealth building can help address funders' priorities and what we can learn from other organisations adopting innovative strategies to strengthen economic growth and local communities.
