Rethinking crisis support

Explore how the Caritas Vouchers and Assistance Scheme has supported 25,000 people in London boroughs and Hertfordshire with dignity and choice at its core.

Delivered through a network of 100+ churches and schools, this innovative approach offers multipurpose vouchers for food, clothing, energy bills, and more—challenging the norms of in-kind aid and emphasising trusting communities to know what they need in times of crisis.

This session will share key insights for funders, including the benefits of diversifying funding portfolios with cash and voucher-based solutions, fostering flexibility, and building trust with communities and on-the-ground partners. Participants will also learn about the practical considerations of implementing such schemes, from leveraging technology to ensuring cost-effectiveness and data protection. Join us to reflect on how this model, inspired by global best practices, can transform crisis support and empower funders to lead with dignity and trust.

The Festival is open to all members of London Funders. Unless otherwise specified, we are not able to accept bookings from non-members. If you’re a funder and interested in becoming a London Funders member, please find out more here.
